The Total Hockey App

Looking for an alternate way to engage with consumers outside of the traditional eComm site and marketing messaging, Total Hockey decided to enter the Mobile App space in 2015. My role on the project was the principle UX/UI designer. Our goal was to make the app easily understandable, as well as highlight the very successful loyalty program run by Total Hockey. I also accounted for a clean and easily navigable shopping interface and a location to target app users with app specific marketing messages. Due to a company acquisition and current re-branding, the Total Hockey app was removed from the App Store and Google Play as of 4/28/17. As of that date, the app has been downloaded over 20k times.

Goose

Through my work as front end developer and in anticipation for my move towards more application development, I recognized the need to templatize marketing messages that are sent to consumers on a regular cadence. I built Goose, an HTML generator, using angular.js to allow anyone in the company to create marketing content without any knowledge of web design, HTML or CSS. Goose is not intended to work on mobile devices at this time as it is geared for content creation in a traditional work environment of desktop users.

Breakout Bar

I was approached by a local startup to create branding and a web presence for their health bar business — Breakout Bar. I partnered with a talented designer on company branding as a whole and focused on web site design, development, and content creation including product and lifestyle photography while my partner focused on product packaging design, production and logo development. The site was designed and developed to appeal to both B2B and B2C client needs which resulted in Break Out Bars being available for purchase in select Dierbergs, Schnucks and Supplement Super Stores in the St. Louis area, in specific Texas grocery markets and online.
